C. E. Pontz & Sons, Inc. began as two separate landscape companies started by brothers in the 1930's and 1940's. Clarence Pontz had a keen mind for running a business and Chester Pontz had and eye for creative designs. The young companies grew, establishing reputations as quality installers of custom landscaping. Eventually, as the years went by and owners and employees had come and gone, both businesses recognized a need for change. Since merging into one company in 2005, the alliance of C.E. Pontz Sons and Pontz Landscape Service created the ability to offer services to each firm’s customer base that may not have been available before. Educational Exhibitors
Penn State Master Gardeners are local community volunteers that receive horticultural training from Penn State Extension educators. They use their expertise to answer over 2,000 home gardening questions from county residents in the Lehigh and Northampton Extension offices and teach good gardening practices at workshops, seminars, community meetings, and local schools, reaching more than 10,000 people annually.
Poor gardening practices can negatively impact our natural environment as well as family budgets. Master Gardeners help people save money by teaching them how to grow their own vegetables, keep their landscapes healthy, and reduce costly replacement of plants. Master Gardeners also protect our environment by teaching residents to use the least toxic, effective pest management.
